Sunshine peeking through the clouds, Umbria.

Autumn.

Saturday, back at the beach. Everyone making the most if it, as the rain returns tomorrow for a week.

Sundays in October are supposed to be like this.

Last day at the beach maybe?

Another weekend draws to a close.... #lagobracciano

Le Cure 2020. Relieved it’s over, but already thinking about next years. I collapsed after finishing Stage 1, had a great day on Stage 2, had hypothermia on Stage 3, and was relieved to see the Matterhorn on arrival on Cervinia on Stage 4. One of the group knows Mark Cavendish , who sent him a message describing Stage 2 as “pretty savage”, that’s how hard it was. A huge thanks to anyone who sponsored me, I’ve raised £1,670, and the group total is £146,320, and still time if you haven’t 🙂 https://ift.tt/3gXhsRv. So, anyone want to join me next year?

Summers on the wane, but may still have time for another long weekend in Tuscany to do a bit of hiking. Got some unfinished trails to do. #OspreyHikingAdventures #LowaAdventures #hiking #tuscany

Le Cure 2020 Stage 4 completed. Truncated day due to the appalling weather forecast, so cut to 59.3Km and 2417 of climbing. Coming through the tunnel and seeing the Matterhorn covered in snow was amazing. Still raising money though, so if you haven’t done so, sponsor me here: https://ift.tt/3gXhsRv #lecure20 @lecuredefrance

Le Cure 2020 Stage 3. Brutal weather, it non stop for the 6 hours 48 minutes it took me to finish. I have never felt so cold on a bike. So cold that someone had to feed me soup at lunch as I was shaking so much. All for a great cause. #lecure20 @lecuredefrance

Le Cure 2020 Stage 2. A better day than yesterday, tough climb to the Col du Grand St Bernard, and not any easier on the second climb of the day, but day 2 in the bag. Still time to sponsor me here: https://ift.tt/3gXhsRv So far we’ve raised £130,240, but plenty of time left.

Hardest day I’ve ever had on a bike, period Still plenty of time to sponsor me at https://ift.tt/3gXhsRv #lecure20 @lecuredefrance

So, @lecuredefrance is about to start. A quick (who am I kidding, slow) warm up ride today up the Croix de Coeur reminded me that lockdown and remote working have taken their toll. Going to be a very tough 4 days. Still plenty of time to sponsor me at https://ift.tt/3gXhsRv #lecure20
